Just what is Hypnosis and how safe is Hypnocounselling or Hypnotherapy?

Hypnocounselling or Hypnotherapy uses gentle hypnotic techniques to bring about beneficial changes. Deep soothing relaxation and directed speech allow the therapist to assist the client to explore, assess, and uncover forgotten memories, buried emotions and/or past events which may affect a person's conscious mind. These discoveries and focused state of mind allow the client to experience a very relaxing, peaceful and healing state, to release blockages to the client's desired dreams and goals. Hypnocounselling has long been utilized to help clients activate their inner resources and to do constructive problem solving. Hypnotic techniques are useful to dissolving urges: stop smoking, weight control, overcome alcohol and substance abuse, stress management, sleep disorders and mental health challenges such as anxiety, fear, phobias and depression. Hypnocounselling is very useful  during childbirth. 
Truth be told, every single day, people go into and out of a hypnotic state. Everyone’s experience is unique to that person.  If you can listen and follow what the Hypnotist says, the experiences is heightened by your own inner desire and information in your subconscious. Examples of everyday situations of hypnotic trance are watching a movie and imagining yourself in the movie or remembering a similar experiences, or at night when you first get in bed in a semi-dream state checking whether not not you locked the door or reviewing random thoughts, or when we daydream or drive to from one place to another but do not remember how we got there. When we are relaxing, we experience a hypnotic state.

What is NLP?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming/Psychotherapy (NLPt)
Neuro refers to neurological processes.  The actual senses people have in common--seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, and tasting—communicate and receive messages.  These processes act as basic building blocks of our life experience.
Linguistic refers to the way we use language to express our life experience.

Programming / Psychotherapy refers the inner course or personal strategies we use to organize these inner processes to produce results, similar to the programming/ software of a computer.

NLP is a set of communication methods for enhancing personal and professional development and for creating personal change compassionately.  It allows individuals to change, adopt, or eliminate behaviors, as they desire, and gives them the ability to choose consciously their mental, emotional, and physical states of well-being.

With NLP, they learn how to grow automatically from every single life experience, thus increasing their ability not just to hope but also to create a better quality of life.  The basic premise of NLP is that the language and words people use reflect an inner, subconscious perception of their problems.  If these words and perceptions are inaccurate, they will create an underlying problem as long as we continue to use and to think them.  Attitudes represent a predetermined code of behavior.  The good news is that with NLP people can replace unhealthy codes and with positive self-image, new attitude, thoughts, and patterns that effect change and promote wellness and healing.

I have a lot of weight to lose and have some other issues, will hypnosis help me in the long run?
Although hypnosis works very well with people who want to shed unwanted pounds and fat and can be extremely helpful in others areas of transformation and rediscovery, Hypnosis  techniques depend largely on the rapport between the client and hypnotist, the skill of the hypnotist, and the mood of the client.  Most people adapt and make the necessary changes to live the type of life that is healthy and productive. others for whatever reason do not make all the changes necessary to obtained the desired results.

Are private consultations expensive?
The exchange donations/fees are affordable and very reasonable. On a case by case basis a sliding scale and/or bartering may apply.
